Can there be a moonlight when it’s raining?

#2

Sure, why not?

#3

That’s the problem, I’m not sure. I read in a book about lighting it can’t. When it rains, the sky is filled with clouds, so it’s logical. From another point, there’s an artistic licence, but that’s another question. Yet theoretically, the part with a moon can be without clouds, though it’s not very probable.

#4

Why not? I’ve seen sun with rain, so why shouldn’t be the same possible with moonlight?

#5

ignore that book. Ive seen tons of movies that use moon lighting with rain, its totally cool.

#6

Haha, ok, thanks guys. I guess it’s John Alton’s book, which is strict on some subjects.

#7

If you couldn’t have direct lighting when it’s raining you’d never see a rainbow.

#8

yeah depending on the cloud cover.
Rain could be very localized.

#9

Ive seen the sunset near the ocean with the moon above it, and raining, so why not full moon with rain.
