Can not export fluid simulations from Blender to 3ds max 2011

#1

I am testing Blender 2. as a fluid simulator , and
was able to finish my first liquid simulation, but tried to
export my fluid animation as obj files, but wasn’t
successfull , even thought enabled animation in the exporter menu.
Also, imported in 3ds max I have only a Static cube, maybe the domain,
and that 's all, no meshes !!??
by the way , I got Python.

Gosh Why everyone keep reading but no one replies this ? Please help.

because theres no way to do it . . . well maybe it is a way but no one knows about it. . . .
few years a go a tryed to do the same, and found at that time an scrip that import in max the .obj secuence (did make an obj animated secuence, imagine an inmage sequence, but obj) but i didnt fuond it any more . . . . . max imported each independent mesh for every frame and animated the rendereable option depending on the frame, so you get 100 objects, turning on and of rendereble when scrolled the time line. The problem with this sistem is that as you must know, fluid meshes are quite heavy, imagine having all frames in the scene, and the motion blur wasnt working, because those were estatic objects, so really not so usefull.

The script is here , I agree with you, files get heavy, but is still the only way.

Thanks to Bob Dole, for the link.

Exporting an obj sequence currently only works with blender 2.49b. In the obj export settings select both the ‘Animation’ and ‘Apply Modifiers’ buttons.

Thank you for your help.
I am using Blender 2.49, and exporting from Blender is no longer a problem, but this script is the only way, I could import the obj sequence into 2dsmax 2011.
