can mudbx transfer detail overlapping geo

can mudbox transfer detail, such as this.
if the mesh you are sourcing has say a horn that overlaps the surface
{as you would model a vector displacement horn in mudbox}

transfer detail seems to use normal displacement and fills in the horn overlap, or does not show the horn.

Note :say you are trying to import a model with overlap not done in mudbox,the point being not to
do the sculpt in mudbox,

but in the end still to create a vector displacement map from it

to bake vector maps the lvl0 mesh needs the same vertex order…

regards vertex order,
I noticed the vertex order changes when you use flatten to uvs,

it is a different issue
