Can I confirm that a Alembic file contains subframes?

#1

I know you can visually inspect subframes in the viewport by typing in decimals like 1.5 and 1.75 as the frame number. But is there a way to confirm that what you’re looking at is actually a subframe that exists in the imported Alembic file, and NOT just an interpolation by Maya?

We have geometry passing through a number of plugins and external software (specifically Ziva and Marvelous Designer), and we’re having subframe issues along the way. It manifests as very subtle differences that are hard to spot visually, but causes problems with collisions and motion blur.

Oh, that might very well be exactly what I’m looking for. I’m going to check that out, thank you.

Do you have a binary windows version of the viewer? I was unable to find one and honestly I was unable to compile it myself.
