Can anyone please help with an issue here in mentalray render in Maya 2013 ?

When I render a master beauty of Key light on a layer it comes accurate but the diffuse pass associated with it renders much brighter than the master beauty. When I changed the Render pass mode option in the shader utility to “write shader result to beauty passes”, the diffuse pass comes fine but specular pass turns black.

Any proper setting to render diffuse and specular passes for an object perfectly having color-blend and remap-hsv utility applied to its shader???
-Is there any way to override settings in a shader utility for different associated render passes?
Note- I have tried changing Render pass mode to “pass trhough” and “write shader result to beauty passes” in the utilities but they both work fine alternatively for diffuse and specular passes not with them as a whole.
