Cameratracker not exporting nodal camera in FBX

Maybe I’m misunderstanding something, but this is really weird.

I have a nodal camera that I tracked using the cameratracker. When I write out an FBX of the camera and scene, there is no camera in the scene. Well let me restate that. There is a camera, but it doesn’t do anything and even in C4D while there is a listing for “camera” there is not visible camera in the scene.

If I change the camera motion type to free camera, and re export the FBX, there is a camera and it’s got all the animation. Is this typical with Nuke? I feel like the workaround is to just use a free camera, which is pretty darn close, but there is still a little floating that happens. The nodal is perfect though.

Anybody have any thoughts or experienced the same thing?
