Camera Animation

#1

Hi,
I was wondering that while animating a camera in Vue if I wanted to keep the target of the camera fixed to a certain object then how could I do that cause right now If I am animating the camera then the target also moves along with the camera and I want the camera to keep looking at its target…I want the camera to keep looking at a certain object while it is moving along the path I created…really need to know this…

Thanks a lot,
Regards,

OK sellect your camera, and in the properties box (top right), click on the Animation tab. There are two options there that will interest you. “Track” & “Link to”. If you want your camera to track an object (stay pointed at it), select the object you want to track in the “Track” drip down box. The other option, “Link to” will make your camera move with the object you select in this drop down box. In other words, it will inherit it’s motion path.

At the moment your object is moving with the camera, because you have linked it to the camera. So you must first remove that link by selecting the object, and changing the “Link to” option. Then select yourt camera, and use the track option to make the camera track your object.
