Bullet rigid sets losing texture

#1

Okay so I’ve been all over google and searched near and far in the forums to find the answer to this problem to no avail, so maybe I can get an answer here.

My problem is this- I have an electronic board with all kinds of buttons and dials and lights, and I’m trying to blow it up. I was able to shatter all the large parts successfully, but when I convert everything to rigid sets via bullet the textures go wonky. Things recolor, miscolor (even objects that were a single color- suddenly two or three different colors), and uv’s go any which way.

Any suggestions on what’s going wrong here? And how to fix it??

Usually I’m able to figure out these kind of things by fiddling with them- but in this instance I’m seriously stumped. I’m not sure if there is something I can do to the UV’s to help them ‘stick’, or if it’s an issue in bullet and using another one of Maya’s dynamic systems would be the step to take. (Also not really sure HOW you would do a simulation like this in Maya’s system. I’m only vaguely familiar with N-cloth and I don’t think that’s the best solution for this kind of simulation…) If anyone has any knowledge of this kind of effect I’ll take any advice you can offer.
