Building collapse VFX WIP

I’m tring to make a interesting building collapse effect, i dont want something realistic, just something beautiful :slight_smile:

Hi- WHat is causing the demolition? It seems like somemthing has sheared it.
The 1st video the building flexes too much before falling…

On the 2nd video, @1:04 it seems too uniform on the right piece falling…

@1:15 the little piece that hinges out needs to fall faster. It seems like the whole simulation is affected by a “global” gravity, enertia, whereas it seems like it would be cooler if those smaller bits would have different twists independently for secondary action. Giving it more personality. You could give individual bricks some spins as they jet outward. Just my thoughts good luck.

Hi Zerozone,

I agree with Narnstron. All looks good but I think it’s lacking mass (moment inertia) and your concrete is definitely too elastic. Maybe some extra tactical fractures on the facade will prevent it from standing at the end.
Just a thought…
