BSOD on shutdown

#1

so i got a new system and shortly after started getting the BSOD.

Windows7
Asus Rampage IV motherboard
i7-4960x 3.6 GHz
64bg ram
SSD for OS

it only happens when i try and shutdown.

did a memory test and found and fixed a bad stick.

i’ve read, and now believe, it’s got to do with a sleep/hibernate and the SSD for my operating system.

does anyone have insight or other suggestions? any help is greatly appreciated.

thanks

The only thing that can cause a bsod these days is a faulty driver or faulty hardware, so try the easiest thing first; remove everything possible and see if the problem persists. Remove all but the boot drives and 1 stick of ram and see if it still happens, at least then you can rule some stuff out.
