Breaking shape instance groups on collision.

#1

Hi, I’m trying to throw a volley of arrows onto a deflector, and have them break on impact. Here’s what I have so far.

A low-poly arrow model, which I split into 3 separate ones (tip, mid, end), and then grouped them.
In the 1st event, the group of arrow parts is added as shape instance, and there’s a collision test. When the arrows hit the deflector and proceed to the 2nd event, I want their different parts to get separated, as if they break apart, so I checked “separate particles for groups” for this event.

What happens now, is that a random couple (out of each arrow’s 3 parts) will disappear, leaving only one part of it to fall to the ground. I understand that one solution would be to delete the initial particle on impact, and spawn its pieces at the spot that it died, but I’m confused as to how that can work. Any suggestions or alternatives?
