Box #2 render issue

Hi guys,

got a box #2 simulation, using particle skinner, and I’d like to render an animation.
Whatever frame I render, it renders just fine, but if I render a sequence, it either crashes on the second frame or it shows something completely wrong (all pflow collision objects and skinned objects have wrong positions)
So I can basically only render one frame at the time. This is also true for network renders, and on different machines. Anybody knows what the problem is?

Of course my sim is baked into the world driver, but I cant bake my polygons cos of surface tearing.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hmm, I have had that issue in the past but not lately. The only suggestion I can offer is to, before you render, goto frame zero, and cycle the on/off/on state for all the particle skinner modifiers, then render.

Are you able to reproduce the effect in a similar simplified setup?

If that does not work, post over at Orbaz support and have Oleg look at the scene.

EDIT: Another possible workaround is to use SuperMesher to bake your mesh. This has proven to be a lifesaver for me.

I wasn’t familiar with Supermesher, sounds great, I assume I can bake the animtation regardless of changing numbers of polys? I’m gonna look into that straight away. Thanks a lot.
On/off trick hasn’t worked for me.

Edit:
yes, supermesher works like a charm, thanks. Demo restricted to 60 frames, but that’s fine for me.
