Boujou Help

#1

Hello Developers,

Like many others out there, I have a problem with Boujou Motion Tracker and exporting to 3DS Max 2012. Everytime I select “export to 3DS Max” in Boujou, it crashes. Unlike so many, I’m not going to whine about this problem, but rectify it! I need a little bit of help, though, and since there is no Boujou forum, I thought this might be the best place to ask the following:

Can someone with Boujou 5.0 please motion track a VERY small piece of footage (2 or 3 frames), solve for the camera, and lastly export the exact same footage to both text format and also 3DS Max (static scene, moving camera). And naturally, somehow get the contents of both files to me.

As far as I know, I will be the first to fix this problem that is plaguing a huge number of developers around the globe, if all goes well.

Thank you, and please help fix this problem.
Nick

can’t you export to FBX instead and import that to 3dsmax? I remember i did that a while ago…

wow… I could have sworn I tried that before, but I just gave it a shot an it worked perfectly. Thank you so much! That was a whole lot easier than writing a Pearl Script to convert between formats, thanks for saving me the time and effort.
