Bottle Landscape Modeling

Ok I have a real good problem…
I would like to create a bottle landscape such as the people in the toyata video below . I’ve tried dulipcating the bottles and attaching it to a landscape using geomerty constraint. But
thats too many bottles for my machine to handle. I was think if I could make the
bottle into a paint effect but I’m not sure how to go about making that, or using some type of mel script to instance the bottle without multiplying the poly count.

If you any have any ideas or resources where I can find how to do this it would be great. Thanks.

I think you should look around this forum and find the right spot to ask this.

And my best guess is to look at particles and instanceing.
I’m not an expert at it, but you could change the look of every instance with textures. You can then even animate it at will.

But try and look at the maya / special effects section, and not in the challenge section.

set it them up as particles using planes as your geometry for the particle. Than make it so the shape is always facing the camera and then put a texture of the bottle onto the plane
