Since I found out about this plugin from the Zign Track site, I was wondering if anyone has a bone structure set up for Zign Track’s default output? From reading the BonyFace manual I guess you’d only have to do this once.

I’m getting a “no distance” function undefined error while testing this, even with the default model. It didn’t do that when I first tested this the other week. Could it be something I changed in Max, like Units, that Bony Face doesn’t like? (using trial version)

May be, but it is not units, actually this is the first time i hear about such kind of bug. Tell me details - when, where and screenshot plz.

I’m working on next 2.6 version.
What’s new:
1.Increased rig performance
2. An ability to rotate jaw along local y
3. Toolbar with main tools and buttons
4. Faster appearance of Face window
5. Reconstructed UI of Drive window - separate rollout for options of each layer’s type
6. New Grimace tool - fast manipulator with sets of major controls and intelligent mixer of poses (up to 8 poses can be mixed by single control)
7. Minor improvements and bugfixies.

New in version 2.7

In Basic tools:

  1. Rig performance was greatly increased
  2. Rig for eyelids was fully recreated to avoid “jerks” of the lid and increase speed
  3. Now BonyFace uses existing bones for head and neck instead of creating it’s own ones
  4. Fixed some Skin issues, now script doesn’t ruin existing weights of vertices
  5. BF toolbar was joind to BonyFace
  6. New icon of BonyFace was painted, hope you’ll like it
  7. Fixed some bugs in Setup Rig window
  8. Added some new Hide buttons in main window

In Extended tools:

  1. Fixed some bugs in Poses, Face and Selector windows
  2. Added some selection buttons in Poses window
  3. Now you can save pose with a name, based on name of selected pose
  4. Added some improvements in Grimace mode and whole Poses window
  5. Fixed incorrect movement of eyes-target and jaw spline control in Face and Selector windows

BonyFace 2.6 was added on site (10 free sessions included) for anybody, who wants to test grimaces and other extended stuff.

bfs-files of 2.6 and 2.7 are 100% compatible.
Rigs of 2.6 and 2.7 aren’t fully compatible, so you have to rig in 2.6 to operate extended tools of 2.6 correctly.
