Bobby Chiu's Subway Sketch Groups!

#61

anim_ziggy - Hey that’s great! I have a little sketchbook(3x5inch) too that I carry around for emergency. Then I have my normal 9x12 sketchbook for regular sketching. If you have sketches, why don’t you start up a London thread and post them there? I’ll be glad to give you comments or advice if you’d like.

MWarsame - They’ll see it… you guys just need to start a London thread and more and more people will notice as time goes on

Louie - Great! Hope to see some of your sketches!

Helsinki has it’s own sketch group now!

We will add more info with Xeltestic about the group when the official “Bobby Chiu’s HELSINKI Subway Sketch Group”-thread pops up in the forum. It’ll take few moments 'cause I haven’t yet posted enough posts… so be patient please

More info and link to the thread will be posted in this thread as soon as possible. At the moment everyone who’s interested in the sketch group in Helsinki area can contact me and my pal Xeltestic for additional info.

Cheers,

Lauri

anim_ziggy, I got the days I’m working, its Wed - Sun 9-6pm, I guess I can’t participate in this however, on my way I catch bus, dunno this could be part of this subway sketch but I can defenetly do a bus version

#71

I tried to do a bus version here in Seattle with hilarious results; it’s hard to draw on a bus. I’m going to the conceptart.org sketch group that meets in Capital Hill, but at least I tried to get one of these going here. Good luck everyone!

Im lucky enough to have lived with Bob in college…
he inspired me a lot then, and its great to see his ideas inspiring so many now…

the sketchgroup here in Toronto is one of my favorites times all week…its one of those things thats easy to make yourself too “busy” to go…but I get myself out there most of the time and let me tell you…its always a great experience…once Im sitting there with my pad out and all the interesting people around time flies and all of a sudden Ive filled a couple of pages up…

Theres nothing else Ive experienced that improves my character designing abilities more then this. Flipping through my pages from the first time I went to now, I see sooo much improvement which I use to compel me to keep going!

Way to go Bobby Chiu!
See ya on the train

#74

Hey Roberto, do you want us to post our sketches in this thread too? Or just in our core thread?

#75

Both.
But just post the best works in this one.

The edmonton subway sketch group had their meeting last saturday and it was a real success! There was a total of seven people who showed up and we all had a great time, despite the rainy weather. I encourage now more than ever those who are floating around here to start a group. It is well worth the work involved!

#77

What a great weekend! The Toronto sketch group had a great turn out this Sunday! Especially for Father’s day! Thanks all that showed up! I’m going to go reply to the other sketchgroups now and redraw some doodles

#78
