Im with interfacer. I want to start a Sketch group that rides the bart or the Amtrack. I am in San Jose. Anybody in the bay want to start a group? I kinda would right now but I dont have a car to get to the train station. This is a great idea, and much props to bobby for it and his inspiring me!.

a sketch group would be awesome here… shame there isnt a subway… more of a really small trainstation… oh well.

Hi, I’m in Singapore, and we have a nice little MRT system going back and forth hundreds times a day. But I dont have a group yet, and everybody I know seems to be too busy to do this thing. So can I just sit down and start sketching by my own?

Hi Everyone!
If you want to start a sketchgroup, but no one seems to be interested, I’d suggest you just start it up anyways.
When I started mine up in January, there were a few times where it was just lonely ol’ me sketching by myself! lol… but because I kept at it and kept posting stuff on the internet and asking my friends to come, now there’s always people coming every week.
I originally started a sketch group because I wanted to make sure that I went sketching every week consistantly. So I’d have good drawing habits. Soon I found that others wanted to do the same, and now there’s lots of people that come with me sketching every week because they see how quickly it improves their art skills and how fun it is to draw all the people on the train. Time really seems to fly!
mttjss - If you have no subway, that’s fine. Any form of transportation will do. Or even a park - like Roberto said. We want to see your sketches!!

To get this started a bit, if anyone would like pointers on how I sketch, you can PM me and I’ll check out your “Sketch Group Thread” and make comments or even redraw a few drawings for you if you request it.

Any1 from Helsinki, Finland interested? We just started to imitate the idea this day with a friend of mine even without knowing bout this thread, though knowingbout Bobbys one. The idea rocks and it´s a lot of fun. The subjects felt a little akward when noticed they’re been drawn, but it adds to excitement
