Is there a way to use the Blur Wind in a mParticles setup?
It doesn’t work with the mP Switch and I think that’s because it uses an acelleration (which is diferent from a speed?).

Damn, that’s true.
Orbaz’ website says: “… A single PhysX Switch operator can allow non-PhysX actions in the event to affect particle positions or speeds, but not both. Choose one or the other…”
It is not meant to use both but in some cases it works. He used to have the other option disabled when you picked the other so you couldn’t even use it if you wanted too. I persuaded Oleg to be able to use both and showed a couple of usage cases. I am glad he agreed. LOL blurwind wasn’t one of them, I am happy it works.
You’re awesome John
It works the same way with Random Walk.
Do you still remember some other cases where it would be useful? Now i’m curious about it.
btw, do you know why it works with only with the position and speed on?
I could notice that, with only the Position on, it kinda holds the particles a bit on it’s start position. With only the Speed on, it doesnt do much, it just changes the position slightly.
And with both it works perfecly.
Disclaimer: I can only speculate.
It is possible the Position isn’t using the length of the vector and the Speed isn’t using the vector coords (maybe only to acquire direction) but with both you have position to go to/from and a speed in which it happens. I could be utter BS’ing right know but that seems to be what it is doing.
