Blender to .tdo

Full disclaimer… I am a Blender rookie, and honestly that is probably giving me a lot of credit.

I am trying to get a model from Blender to a 3D party simulation/physics engine; so probably a bit outside for what most use Blender. The problem I have is that the engine only excepts *.tdo files. 3D Studio Max accommodates this via a plugin:

Is there an alternate method to create the needed .tdo file?

Or, is there a method for me to leverage the 3DS plugin within Blender?

3D Object Converter seems to work.

The only change you’ll have to find an exporter for an obscure proprietary file format is to ask on the forums of that particular engine
