Blender camera tracking help

#1

Hi all,
I’m currently interested in experimenting a bit with the Blender internal camera tracking (tomato branch) but cannot find tutorials or user manuals about it.
There are a lot of videos but I find it hard to figure out what its happening (and not being a native english speaker does not help).
Anybody knows a good -written- introduction to it or should I wait until it becomas part of the official release?

Thank you!

I think you’ll have to wait until the official release for documentation.

For the moment though there are several videos by Sebastian Koenig;

CG Cookie - Camera Tracking

It’s not the latest version he is using, and some of the features have changed slightly, plus a lot has been added but it should be enough to get you up and running.

The motion tracking manual has now been released at the Blender Wiki:
