(Blender) Black lines issue

#1

Hey guy I haven’t had this issue that long but I can’t find a fix. I’m not sure if its texturing options but it seems to apply to my first layer of texture in my blender object.

btw the first layer of texture is a layer of cloud I made in Photoshop and I don’t think the problem is the texture itself but the properties of the layer in blender.

if anyone could give me an answer that would be GREAT! thanks in advance!

Looks pretty much like an issue with the tiling of the texture. you can duplicate the image in PS and put the two images side by side and you’ll see what’s the problem.

Solutions would be to

  1. create a tileable texture in PS

  2. make the image larger so it does not have to be tiled

  3. create a procedural texture in blender itself what seems to be the most reasonable way.

(4) change the tiling in blender but can’t tell you the way to do because I never needed it in blender so far. But from other programms I assume there is a way but it possibly won’t bring that great results.

Okay thx for the reply, I will have a go at what you said and I’ll let you know if anything works.

Ok thanks for the reply, I’ll see if your solution works and I’ll get back to you on the results.

Sorry I haven’t said anything for a while, I did what you said and I have discovered sort of what it is and it seems to be texture bleeding between tiles of the same texture, so I don’t really know anyway to remove bleeding except maybe thought texture painting. tell me if you have any other fixes for the bleeding. thx

Would you mind to upload your map so I can have a closer look?

here

this what you wanted isn’t it?

Just realised you are using an UV map. For stuff like this I usually avoid this and I think it’s the source of your problem in this case. I suggest having a look aut object mapping here. You also might want to try using the built in clouds texture, which seems far more comfortable then using an image texture
