Hi, everyone.
I’m creating blend shapes for a character and I’ve never done them before. My first one so far, and when I created the blend shape and tested it out, some geo from the bottom of the feet shoots up into the head. I duplicated the body and cut the head off to create the blend shape, deleted history, etc.

by deleting part of the geometry you’ve changed the point order of your CVs. work with a complete copy of your mesh or create your blend shapes on parts of the mesh and use a wrap deformer to bring them back to your entire mesh
