bits problem

when i start working with a video shoot with a digital camera everiting is alrigth, but after adding some particles , the video looks with less quality , like if it loss bits, what is this?

what you are seeing is the OpenGL overlay. This should not affect your renders in any way.
Have you installed the proper drivers for your videocard ?

i have the last nvidia drivers , and yes this thing is affecting the renders too.

okay–

it’s affecting renders because it sounds like you have “Hardware OpenGL” selected in the composite settings. you MUST switch it to software.

That should cure it. :slight_smile:

thanks but if opengl is off, the particle preview will slow down?

Mariano,

the particle preview will just render to RAM if OpenGL is off. it shouldn’t slow-down much.

for high-quality renders, always make sure that your composition is set to software before you render out.
