Bit confused, how can I get a photoshop style smudge brush in polypaint?

Hello,
I was lead to understand that unlike Mudbox, Zbrush is capable of having a photoshop style smudge brush during polypainting/texturing.

Is this a capability that Zbrush has? If yes, then how?

Hold down shift and turn off add or sub and leave RGB on. This will act like a smudge brush. Not as dramatic as the smudge brush in photoshop but it works well.

Wait, the smooth brush works a lot more like the blur brush in photoshop.

What I mean is, that it doesn’t drag color information, right?

So in other words, both in mudbox and zbrush there is no genuine smudge brush?

sigh

And with Mudbox people have been requesting a smudge brush for more than six years!

you can all so use the projection master then use the 2D smudge brush on it in tool>smudge
