Binding pfx hair to curves (urgent)

Hey everybody,

I created splines and then grew hair on the geometry. Its meant to be a lion tail end.
I skinned curves to tail geo and it all worked smoothly. I mean cv curves bent where they should bent, but hair didn’t follow!
I searched everywhere and tried every different method I found but generated pfxhair couldn’t be skinned to curves, but there should be a way obviously.

Please, help, need to show it to client tomorrow.

I fixed the problem, but in quite a funky way. So I would be happy to hear any explanation why it didn’t work in the first place.
