i have a fully rigged skinned character that i’m trying to export to collada via openCollada export/import to load into OpenSceneGraph.but i ran into some problems that so far i find to be caused by selective binding(bind with selected joints and in each of the mesh parts instead of all parts in the joint hierarchy).meshes weren’t loaded correctly afterwards.in Maya with the openCollada importer the Legs mesh wasn’t loading and in OSG the Face mesh.
are there any good practices or rules or sth for selective binding?if possible i don’t want to go to hierarchy binding…

EDIT1:ok i rebinded exactly like before(same meshes same selected joints) on a new clean file with imported meshes and skeleton(without the ik controls constraints etc) and transfered the weights and now it works like a charm.the difference was ,this time i unchecked multiple bind poses because the exporter had nagged about it at some point and this file was cleaner.
any ideas why?i know the post seems kinda solved but i need to know why since this is going on a report,thesis to be more exact.
