Bind skin issue...

#1

Hello society !
I have a well known problem: at the moment of the binding skin of my creature, a part of the model moved slightly…
But it’s even worse: I noticed of it a lot of time (and work) later, so I can’t just undo and try again !
Solutions ? Thanks.

P.S.For who who was about to tell me “move it back manually”, thanks, I know I can do it.

Hi
Try detaching the skin with history. Rebind the mesh with same joint influence.

Thanks ! Interesting… but I need more details please :slight_smile:

hello well you can re-select your influences as you did previously or you can use those couple of lines

import maya.cmds as cmd

inf = cmd.skinCluster(“your skincluster node” ,q=True ,inf=True)
cmd.select(inf )

and then you make again the skin cluster
