Big Problems with Carbon Fibre.

Hey Guys,

im currently working on a Carbon Fibre Material (Mental Ray) and i think i’ve gotten pretty far using the MR Carpaint Shader by using a texture in the 2. Specular Weight Slot but i just cant get it to react to different lightning/camera angles correctly :frowning:
My guess is that an anisotropic highlight in the lower layer should solve the problem but i just dont know how to realize that.
I already googled and searched on this board, but i only found some really old stuff that i couldnt make use of.

Thanks for the reply Jeff, but i use max2009x64 and i dont know how i could make use of that material.
By the way, i tried using shellac a few times but came up with one major problem. When im using a bumpmap in the base materials its also seen in the clearcoat layer that i use as shellac.
Any other ideas?
