bezier smoothing thru ZSpheres

I was messing around with my drawing tablet and then started playing with ZSpheres and had got into some mode that caused my ZSphere adaptive skin to round out the ‘joints’. Sorta like bezier smoothing thru the ZSpheres. I was really irritated but saw how it could be useful, it was like a whole different mesh creation method. Now I can’t figure out how to get back to it or what to search for.

Any ideas? This was using the default adaptive skinning, not the classic.
