Synopsis: When a boy is faced with the opportunity of approaching his crush, he must first overcome his inner demons.
We used a lot of different kinds of technics to create a combination of stop motion animation and 3D animation. This way we where able to take the best sides of each platform and made a powerful and fast workflow to create the animation in just under 4 months. Building the set for real in miniature and shooting the backplates and HDRI’s with a christmas ball for integrating the 3D characters that are 3D scanned from a clay sculpture. Animation al done in maya, rendering in Vray, compositing in Nuke, and particles with krakatoa.
