best way to spacing edges...

#1

Hi there…

I have this piece Im modelling (afterburner of a plane) and Im having trouble getting the inner bevels evenly distributed around it.

The way I did it here was to create the overall shape and then create loads of loops around it, distribute them by eye, and then do some negative extrudes all around.

Im 100% sure that there’s a better way to do this, just I don’t know what it is :frowning: I was wondering if any of you would have any ideas?

(I’m using maya)

many thanks!

Create a cylinder, to the density you need, then do the extrusions and deform with a lattice AFTERWARDS…the distance between the edgeloops will remain even.

now why didn’t I think of that! thanks a lot!
