nfd77 : She will be fully rigged so I will be able to do many facial expression, etc.

Scote: yeah I felt too especially in that new camera angle the face is tilted down so we were seeing more the top hairs…

2xbo L there was absolutely no change in the ears… lol. I changes some of the thing s you said since I noticed me too… and I have some more little change to do,…

Here’a new update.

So changes here and there… I made the hairs a bit less big… but it ****ed up my haircut quite a lot… I had to replace lot’s of strands etc… and there is a bug now occuring… the hairs render much more noisy and without scattering ( hmm actually I founded what was the problem so next update will be better… and there is no facial hair for that test) :S … and a new ligting IBL ,etc…

Hi all

Long time not posted… took a break of it
I’m back to it… I did use the displacement map and reprojected it in zbrush and correcte some **** i had… but I lost a little bit of crispness …

So here,s 2 different haircuts, wich one do you prefer? the ponytail don’t have facial hairs in that render…

#84

wow…the realism, I’m in awe.
Do you work in the film industry?

#85

Tough to choose, but i think i would go with the original, but really either is just amaizing :applause:

#86

Yes, same thing from me. Both of them are just awesome! The original one is a little bit more interesting in my opinion. The other one looks very classy anyway!

#87

Absolutly stunning work
She looks se realistic

#88

Just awesome… you are like the Yoda of 3d …

#89

Definitely the second. I also really loved the earlier ones too. Keep it up!

#90

That’s one of the best work i’ve ever seen. Just Amazing :applause: I hope one day i get better qualities then yours on my work , but it seems almost impossible because the next step would be the taking photos via camera , so i may need to go outside and try to take pictures to get better results

And i would choose the second one.

#91

No pony. Definitely prefer her hair down.

#92

Wow! This is one of the most inspiring things I’ve ever seen. I’m just starting to learn about skin texturing this semester, I can’t even begin to imagine how you made something so amazing. I thought it was perfect in the fist couple of pages of this thread, but to see how it progressed has been really cool. What are you using to make the hair? We are using Arnold to render at school, but I’m really interested in checking out VRay now. I always see really nice renders coming out of that package. I would also vote for the hair down. I can’t wait to see where you take it next! Really really great work!

#93

Hey Begin! Nice update, but i think the last one with the mouth closed is better.
The ponytail look awesome but i have a preference for long hair.

#94

First thank’s alot for the top row I really appreciate it

And thank’s all for the kind comments.

a little update here, on the lacrymal liquid in the eyes, rotated some textures to make it assymetrical, etc) I started a render with long hairs now ( since you guy’s seem’s to prefer that one but it’S so slow to render compared to the ponytail!) to compare with the same lighting.

BTW right click the image and click show full size.

#95

The must realistic character that I had ever seen!
Congrats friend!!

#96

hey thank’s man !

here is the lnog hair version, same lighting… wich one you prefer? ponytail or long one ?

#97

lovely to see your progression in this thread.
It’s already looking great, and I’d love to see how it looks with some stark, strong lighting for mood.
Can’t wait to see what you turn this in to!

D

WOW FANTASTIC! So completely realistic! The short hairs across the skin gives it a wonderful realistic approach! I would suggest a natural pose shot but you probably got the hair like it is by sculpting the particles. So, I don’t want to make you do more work than you have to :). Just a little curious but are you using an HDRI lighting map with the light planes?

Sorry I’m a bit new to this post and you added the fine hairs a while back.

#99

I like the look of the hair, but is it gonna be more full-ish?

#100

still with the hair one i think

one thing i would like to mention is :

i dont know what you guys think but in the picture the area i marked seemed to me a little bit sharper than it needs to be or it’s just the camera angle or the bone, the hair somewhat doesnt look natural in that area but of course that’s my opinion. As i wrote earlier, you may need to go and take pictures in order to get that quality for the rest of it. Amazing!
