baking pflow to geo

#1

Anyone have any tips on baking out pflow system that I can then export as an fbx? Something similar to TPs export to geo system?

I’ve used pflow baker in the past, but for some reason it’s erroring out upon execution.

I have a simple debris system of about 5000 objects. Pretty straight foward.

I’ve also tried the mesher approach, but it won’t let me use a point cache modifier. Says invalid cache type.

Anyone have any tips?

What’s the error in the pflow baker? I think it’d still be the best bet. The mesher won’t pointcache because the point count is changing. If you birth all the particles on one frame, and keep them in the same event you’d be fine, but that’s hardly ever doable.

Hey Ian,
I get an error “unable to convert: undefined to type: mesh”

I posted this up a thread and I think we’re figuring it out. It seems the script doesn’t like multiple events? or atleast multiple shape instances. I have a split source going to 4 different shape instances. I change that split amount to a send out to one shape instance and it works fine.

Odd.
