Bake displacement map

Would be kind of easy in the Surface Node Editor. But all displacement is nodal in the deform tab. I can’t use the actual nodes on the model, so I need a map. Not a normal map (also, how would that be done?), but something like a grayscale map. I guess there might be also negative values in the displacement. So, how is it done? Regular displacement and normal map?

I’m really not sure what your asking but heres my 1/2 a penny.

If you have a UV map created from a morph in modeler, maybe you can use it in Layout and render it to an image and use it as a map.
