Background image inside photoshop

#1

I have seen somewhere. having someone adding background image inside photoshop instead of that old standard gray one. If that’s possible, how can I do that? I looked up at google, I get all result where they explain is how to make “Background image in photoshop”

I use PSCS3 + I am PC, its my idea!

As far as I know you can’t add a bitmap to that gray area, you can only change the color.

Are you sure it wasn’t a screenshot of Photoshop running on a Mac, and it was just the desktop image you were seeing?

Rooka- I know you can change canvas background color… But I was talking about application background without canvas.

Leigh- Yes, i think its screenshot from mac. And maybe its desktop Maybe not. So are you implying its not possible to have bitmap image inside photoshop background?

Well no, it’s not possible to have a bitmap image as a UI background in Photoshop. Perhaps you’ve not used a Mac before, but a lot of software runs in this way on a Mac - the UI windows of the program simply sit on top of the desktop, so you see the wallpaper in the background.
