Quick question on the best technique for back spikes. This guy needs a bunch:
Would it be better to extrude them out of the back from what faces are there? Or just model them separately and let them intersect the back? I’m leaning somewhat towards the latter, since I figure I can just "build up’ around the base of the spikes in zbrush so they don’t look they’re just glued on. Having the spikes as a separate mesh seems like it would make sculpting and rigging less of a hassle. And allow me to have a bit better low-res shape for the spikes than just a box. But since they wouldn’t really be separate pieces in “reality”, I feel like I should be extruding them. Advice?
