some rough layouts for my initial idea… since B movies are chock full of well established elements… i wanna make a setting similar to like escape from LA then put a clean looking space chick there and a whacky sidekick fighting off alien zombies or something

some costumes this time around… probably my last update for now… gonna probably wait for some input on which direction I should take it. in the meantime gonna start making her sidekick

Nice designs so far! Of the outfits, I like 12 the best: The high boots are great and show off her legs well, the top half is simple and not over-designed, and the scarf is a nice touch ('though it would work fine without it.) I like helmets 1 and 6 - the would complement the outfit nicely and feel retro and spacey without being to silly or having too weird a silhouette.
As for the overall layout or theme, several of us are (or were) already doing dinosaurs versus spacemen, so I would suggest steering away from version ‘A.’ (I saw someone else doing spacemen and dinosaurs so it made me want to move my entry away from doing the same as someone else so that neither felt too unoriginal. You might feel the same way.) I feel that B separates the character from the action a bit too much but D and E especially have a lot of potential. (E also has a great camera angle!) Good luck whichever you choose!

Timothy - When I was looking at your sketches I was thrilled to see version “E” the pineapple robot, it is my favorite. Great start, look forward to seeing more!

@michael - thanks. i think i am also leaning towards number 12 and layout E. I think though that i will indeed need to change the aliens to make my stuff different from what some are already doing
@Korendo - thanks, I think the pineapple design idea is also something i will look into. i think it shows the most promise
@Benjo - thanks, my friend, yeah totally i agree. gonna grab the weekend to hopefully get a final layout done

leaning towards layout E for final layout. with the thumb having a pineapple UFO and all, might as well have an entire fleet of pineapple alien invasion force as the main antagonists for the movie.
