Wow i think this is a vedry interesting topic. i think the ghost train still can improve.:)don,t give up dude

#22

Thanks for comments!
Like a daRoz say, I change colors a little, place hero, who will fight against ghost train and inscriptions. What do you think about this now?

#23

And version with rain…

#24

Some improves…

#25

Hi Ravirr, may sth like this ?

cheers

#26

Hi RaVirr

I think daRoz has a point about the colors. Your palette could be a little more “b-movish” if you know what I mean…
I also think that the smoke coming from the train is a bit to similar to the building right behind it. I would suggest reworking the value relationship between those object. Or maybe you could play with some color shifting, like making the smoke green for example.
I would also try giving some green creepy lights inside the train to make it pop a bit more because right now it kind of blends with the building in the background…
There still much time and I would suggest doing some bold experiments just to see if this could improve the image (which is quite cool right now anyway… :))

cheers

daRoz, lordbiernac- thank you so much for suggestions, they are very helpful.
I try to make palette of color whitch transmitted a B-movie mood…but I don’t want to exaggerate.
lord- I have changed color of smoke over train as me advise and actually, now it looks better  I also have turned saturation a bit. Lights inside train will be in next update:)
One more time-thanks for advises, they are priceless:)
Cheers

#28

Some changes and the improvement in the grammatical mistake ;D

#29

Looks cool but two thing bothers me.

Mysterious giant standing on the roof. I saw him only when i read your story. If it supposed to be a poster you should make him much bigger and standing somewhere in the background, a silhouette mixed with the clouds maybe. You just cant see him right now.

Falling train leads eye to the bottom right corner and push the sight off the image. If you make the giant as i mentioned earlier you could cover that corner with his cape (or hand), thus leading sight to the bottom center of the image and then maybe up to the giant’s masked face.

Good luck

With this giant it was a joke:) A ghost train opponent will be an ordinary superhero:D
I am not sure whether still to paint something in… I’m already having a feeling that there is too much things… It seems I need rest from this picture to look with fresh eye.
Thanks;)

New font

#32

Add Superhero face on the sky.

#33

Experiments with colours.
This silence terrified me :stuck_out_tongue:

#34

Hey!
Nice updates since last one I was here. Adding rain was cool idea and the face of the hero in the back was superb idea! Now This reminds me great movie called Darkman or Shadow. Both great flicks. Definetely fits well to b-movie subject. Maybe adding a little people in front of the buildings could add even more and maybe add some very dark objects in foreground like hydrant or something like that. Play around… Discover what’s works and what doesn’t. But for now it looks very nice.

#35

Serio, thanks for the commentary! I already gave some thought about people in the front of the building… I must fill this empty bottom of image.
I am pleased that you like this. Through this silence I think that I am breaking the picture.

#36

very nice idea–definitely b-movie !
like the colors…!!!
train is nice - always coming from nowhere

but if I could suggest something…
hero (i assume) looks little to much like ninja to me(maybe some white chequ-ered cloth - like a tissue instead this red one- just my some idea :),
and rain looks more like a snow to me (i would extend the length of the falling drops X5)
maybe not exactly like here:

or
http://portadosol.blox.pl/resource/deszcz.JPG

but more towards this long lines…
otherwise … good work…
keep it going !
good luck…

#37

As they say: beware of the ninja;P
I will try to improve rain later, now I did more b-movie colours and add people.
Thanks;)

#38

since my last post, the picture has improved greatly
but now i think the colors are very strong

#39

I’m work on laptop last and colors on it looks not too saturated…After desaturated, looks better?

Hey Piotr,

Nice concept ! The image looks great! Like the perspective on it and the poster style. Think that green and blue tones for the color palette are working well.

Waiting for more updates. Cheers!!
