“Zombies on a plane!”

This will be great fun, although I don’t know exactly what I’ll come up with.
But that title is at least a start.
I’m off, looking for reference and inspiration.

Just cropped some Images together to get an idea of what it could look like.
Don’t know if the final picture should look like this (movie-poster) or just a normal still picture without any text etc.

Hi there, love the idea…

What would be sweet (in my mind ) would be to see a couple of zombie flight attendants in the image as well! Maybe a sexy(?) one pushing a food cart! ha! oh well…

#5

Thanks, that’s a good idea.
In fact I thought about that already and would love to have a zombie-stewardess.
Let’s see if I have the time to do it…
Thanks for feedback!

I am never getting on a plane again…good stuff.

Cheers

Hey Phil,

Really cool concept, like a lot! Have a great potential for an awesome image.

Good luck and waiting for more updates. Cheers!!

#9

Nice start and cool idea.

Initally I just wanted to block out everything roughly so I could take care of the composition, but then I got lost in modeling the seat.
Forgot how much fun modeling is.

An airplane interior was a lucky choice, I just have to model everything once and then duplicate it many times hehe

#11

Yeah Zombies for the win!
Good stuff so far, Phil! Bear in mind, that the composition is very important. Make it dynamic and clear.
Don’t get lost in modeling to much, mate.

Have fun!

Zombies on a plane is a very cool idea indeed!! Will the passengers be Zombies too? Or are you thinking it’s kind of Zombie Airlines where the crew are Zombies? Good start!

#13

Yakonusuke: Hey Jakob, thanks for passing by!
I’m aware of how important the composition is, thank you for reminding me.
I finished the interior(didn’t render anything out yet), which will always look the same, regardless of the final composition, the only things I can play with is the camera postion/angle and the position/pose of the passengers/crew. But you’re right, I should have thought of that first, shame on me.
I’m on vacation for 2 weeks from now on and I’ll have my sketchbook with me. I’m sure that by the time I come back I have decided on final composition/colors etc. and jump right into finishing this. :arteest:

Paperboy: Originally I planned only the crew to be zombies and the passengers either frightened or … dead.

#14

I’m back from holiday and full of energy to go on.
For now just a quick render to show you the Scene, more tomorrow.

cheers

#15

Great to see you in too.
Love the idea and hope ist getting really gory like zombie movies have to be.

Good luck on finishing in time.

#16

Just a small WIP to show you that I’m still working on this piece!
Zombie is nearly finished, here is a pic of the head mesh.(before sculpting)
On to painting textures now.
I really hope I can finish this in time!

#17

I really like the composition and the style of the Zombie.

Can’t wait to see the final.

#18

Really nice aircraft interior, a great perspective and the Zombie head is looking cool too, look forward to seeing the textured version!
