B-Movie Entry: Michael Wilson

Hey, thanks eveyone for the comments.

I know the Brain at the Top should be more visible, but it’s proving difficult at this angle. Hopefully when I render it with some AO it will stand out a bit more.

Here is another up-date.

That’s looking really nice so far. Great camera angle! One thing to watch out for is that the robot is getting a bit lost on the background. You could lighten up one or the other - the sky or the robot. Or maybe you could add a nice rim-light to the robot. Either way, good luck with it!

Fun image, the square feet are a nice touch.

#44

Playing around with lights and trying to get the giant robot to pop a little more from the background. I think I’ll also use some DOF in the final render to help with that.

Humble suggestion to dial down the purple, it is making the image a bit harder to read. Also purple fog costs more, some dry ice making a little ground fog might be nice. Good to see your experimenting! Keep up the great work.

#46

Well, I think this is almost there. Any last suggestions or comments before I do a final render?

Thanks for the input everyone so far.

Looks great Mike, i think it would benefit from some strong colored rim lighting to make things pop.

This is looking like a superb movie. Wonderful stuff. The helpless pose of the woman in the robot’s hand is beautifully done. I’m finding myself agreeing with Steve - either some rim lighting, and/or perhaps fires/explosions on the horizon behind the robot so that the robot stands out some more against the background.

Giant Robot Aliens from Space! Attack!

Here we go, the final image. It was fun and good luck to all.

Hey! You’ve finished already - totally congrats!
And “amazing!” says it well - great job!

Congrats on finishing.

Job Well done and good luck to you too

Your final image looks fantastic. It is 100% B-Movie and I want to see that movie. Nice work on the typography too. Congratulations!

Software: CINEMA 4D,Photoshop

B-movie poster of an attack from Giant Alien Robots. I tried to get the B-movie feel with the simple robot designa and bad screaming actress in the foreground.
