Nice work so far, I look forward to seeing how you’ll assemble it all together: Do you have a layout in mind yet?
My one crit would be the glass. Don’t get me wrong, the materials and rendering on it are fantastic! But the thickness of the glass and especially the large size of the pieces it’s shattered into make it look like it must be 6 inches tall, and it throws off the scale of the whole piece for me: It makes everything else look like they must be toys, not a real set. Anyhow, just something to think about. Good luck!

@karmakat - thanks, aye i am going of going for a Troma (toxic avenger) type theme, will look more like it when i finish my comp and make it into a poster in photoshop - i hope.
@walrus - thank you and i fully agree with the glass, i searched high and low for good tut using ncloth but to no avail, so i filled out the form to get a trial of blastcode for maya - lets see what happens. as far as the layout goes, it’s all in my head, there are lots of tubing and wires, girders, a few flatscreens, and the lab wall and ceiling.

Maybe you already have some geometry in mind thats not in the picture… but another thing about the glass is that broken the way it is with a big metal thing on top, it doesn’t look like it could support it… the glass seems broken in places that would have it topple… would some armature around the glass make sense?

reworked glass have to repose figure, but will do that later.
