Concepts for Old Gran Gallows and the cats. I’ll probably use the grumpy looking grandma. still need to make more cats though.

A slightly improved layout. Inside the ruined house of Old Gran Gallows. while she’s fighting off spacemen to defend the cats.

I am having a hard time choosing between the night and the am colors but you certainly captured that retro b movie poster color palette. The night version can be promising since you using some lights in the image but the morning colors ,for me look more retro. keep it up! Push push push!

Nice design so far! I feel that your foreground is so dark, it doesn’t really feel like a day-time scene, so the Morning sky just doesn’t fit. Of the other two, the cool colors of the night sky adds a nice contrast to the warms and greens of the foreground and helps them pop the best… But you could try pushing it further by making the buildings in the background cool colors like the sky to help push them back. Cool concept and style :smiley: like it!! Agree with Walrus comment. Think that night scene can work well, wit cool colors on the background and warmers in foreground.

This scene is great! I love the kitty getting sucked up into the space ship, hehe

I do like the night time scene the best as it really seems to add contrast and balance out all the colors going on.

Thanks to every one who commented.

Here’s the lineart for my b-movie entry. The rest of the stuff in the background will be painted in and I changed the aliens to more fishy type of fellows to make it funnier. I’ll have some flat colours in later.
