B-Movie Entry: Krishnamurti M. Costa

Really great work here!

Something about the eyes doesn’t sit too well with me. I cant quite pinpoint it. I think the outer corner might be sitting a tad too high.
Maybe the neck appears a bit thick in the 3/4 view? Somehow that entire view looks a bit drag-queen to my eyes if you disregard the body, which is very nicely done, and only look at the head. I think the chin being so far forward might be a part of it.

Cheers and keep the great updates coming!:arteest:

YeOldeBadger, ltken84, Paperboy, thebest,
Thank you a ton!

StayFrosty,
yes, definitely! Asymmetry will add a lot to the characters. It’s just that at this point is better to flush those models as fast as I can and to do that I normally keep everything symmetrical at first. Thank you!

TheRazorsEdge,
I agree. Still in progress. I’ll get there eventually
Thanks!

AndreiSzasz,
hey man, good to see you around and good looking models on your portfolio!

It just keeps getting better! Great stuff Kris, can’t wait to see another epic piece.

I know you use x64 maya, and i do not understand why my x64 maya2010 loads slower on my x64 xppro machine than my 32 bit maya 8.5, it also seems to slow down and take longer when opening my scene files with highresolution texture maps. As a result, i switched back to using the 8.5 version, when in fact i expected the x64 maya2010 to be give me faster and more efficient use. My x64 machine seems to be able to use more than 2gb of ram for the 32bit maya 8.5 as well. I wonder what other advantages with using an x64 maya compared to a 32 bit one for functionality and speed if the system can use more than 2gb ram for the 32-bit application.

my specs:
Windows XPpro x64
4gb ram
Intel centrino duo T7200 2.Ghz

Hey there!

Seeing your thread made me think if i hadn’t sleep for a month or so, given the fast pace you started with!! I though OMG, is the contest almost ending or what!

Nothing new to say, just wanted to pop up and congratulate. I think the IRS monster (with any form) is the scariest monster EVER!! eheheheh

#147

some more work on the body and face. Some basic renders in Maya using the same lighting setup as for the pin-up. Still far from finished and lots of anatomy problems on this model.
