Beautiful work

I really enjoy how you’re capturing the quality of the skin.

You said this WIP was inclusive of the expression? If so I think it’d be great to see a little more over-the-top emotion on his face.

Thoughts: bottom corners of the lips seem to be hanging a little lose for an open mouth with exposed upper teeth. Don’t think you’ve worked the ears yet so will not mention. I feel like the nostrils might also be pulled back a bit, right now the seem sort of relaxed? Unsure. Think both nostrils and lips would maybe have some more texture around the tips of the muscles? Jaw definition seems a little low to the back end but then maybe that’s just the way Bonobos are?

All these are minor things and probably don’t help but, well, just thought I’d try to be constructive or something by way of thanks for providing the inspiring work. It makes it a little easier to jump into the masses of sculpting I’ve got going on at work each day

Hey Antropus, the bonobo is look great! Im a huge fan of your work! I was wondering if you could shed some light on your Zbrush sculpting techniques? Your wrinkles are so well done, and I have a hard time getting that level of crispness in mine. What alphas do you use to start out with? Do you use the inflate brush immediately after laying down the first line? Or do you then use the standard brush and bring up the skin around the wrinkle? Sorry if Im asking too many questions, but its not often that I get to ask masters like yourself technique questions. Cant wait to see more progress!

Thanks in advance,

James

I love your works! dude Simply stunning! Now back to work! :stuck_out_tongue:

(ahn! almost forgot: are you painting your models directly on Zbrush?!)

Cheers man!

Kris,

Your renders are fantastic! You find the important stuff and nail it down. I am going to be paying very close attention to this entry (and I hope you can find the time to develop it to your satisfaction). Best of luck to you!

Jeff
