here i added a video on how i created the tennis shoe , now i think that i must try the polygrouping technique in order to save time and get more quality, i think i learned something, but need to try it first  :bounce:

Wow, very nice for sure…
I just have a question:
(since I totally don’t have any experience in using z brush) Is it differnt to model in Z Brush than other 3d programs like 3ds max and Cinema 4D? :curious:
'cause it seems different when you’re modeling the shoe… (at least the “detailing”)

#23

Lovely little character, the details on it are really nice, and the clothing are looking great too!! :arteest:

#24

wow mate the shoe looks awsome  keep going mate :bounce:

#25

I like the sculpt… really nice and stylized

#26

Hey Jorge,

Great model and fantastic detail on it  The outfit for the character match really nice with him.
Thanks for share the video with the sneaker modealing process. I need to give a try some day to Z brush

Great work and waiting for more updates. Cheers!!

#28

Here the back view

Imminent-storm: hello there, well is totally different way of work, in zb i feel with much more freedom about modeling on the fly, i dont need much of a concept to start working since i can kinda conceptualize while modeling…very quick way of modeling with zb, but of course u need other apps to complement, but inside zb u can kinda “sculpt” with ease …

man check out the pixologic site, ull find more info about zb: pixologic.com

Paperboy: thank you man

thebest: thanx amigo  try to make a shoe one day bro, its a very cool practice

FranciscoAlvarezDelgado: thanx sir

Ferx: thanx my friends, hey if u decide to give zb a try ill be here to help you out

#30

oh… I see, thanks for the info man… appreciate it…
I checked the site and it’s a WOW man,
so when it comes to details and illustration … ZB’s the boss!

#31

I love how you did the wrinkles.

It looks simple with just the right details and also a style within itself.

Great progress. Hope I to get there someday.

#32

Hey Jorge,

Great work!! Like a lot the buttons on the chef jacket. Love the great cartoon style on your charcter, I like to see him animated  Great details on the clothes.
Superb work! Waiting for more updates. Cheers!!

(Y a darle que es mole de olla… ya sólo 12 días :D)

Ferx: haha, thanx Bro , yeah man im running now but im not sure Ill be able to complete what i have in mind…ill post some about it shortly, at the very end i think ill take just what i have and render it together…lol

#34

well some update on the skin textures for this little man, today i completed all uvs, and baked all the normal and AO maps, also painted textures fo the skin. the hair is missing, ill make a couple tests , but if im not happy with it ill make just short hair i guess…running out of time.

#35

Awesome Guy so far, cant wait to see him in a scene :buttrock:

#36

well, …a friend of mine told me that it would be cool to add something more dramatic in size to my composition, and i think its a good idea so ill give it a try, i had a nice plan to make a composition including a restaurant the chef and a giant octapus, but i think i wont have enough time… so heres is what im aming , well very rough idea…hope it is understandable enough…hehe cheers everyone!!!

#37

Hey Jorge,

You are working really hard, nice
Cool skin textures, like a lot the translucent effect on the hands, puts a really freat flesh touch

Like the composition. Perhaps you can go for a more vertical composition and with the background “thing” more bigger ( maybe a unagi sushi monster… hahahahaha )

Cool work!

#38

oh, wow… is that a giant bird behind the kid :applause:… I hope it is, I like birds; especially giant ones :bounce:

#39

Here is an other update on the little man, i think ill proceed with next stages now …ill make polish in ps at the end i guess

#40

Ferx: haha thanx man, i think is a cool idea indeed …im planning some new stuff ill put my new compo idea tomorrow …

Imminent-storm: hahaha…bird? lo well it was a monster …not sure if a squiq or octopus–in fact im going to create one…but now inside of a ramen shop, waiting for some clients…to eat!!! hahaha…and the kid its helping get them
