Here is my idea for something out of a B-movie. I’ve decided to do a still life instead of the conventional action/character scene.

#3

An early idea for the layout that I had in mind.

#4

These are my Photo references that I’ve narrowed down from a stack of 20+ photos.
Which one flows better?

#5

work in progress, massing out the darks and adjusting the value contrasts.

#6

double post :argh:

#7

still working the mid and darks, refining the grisalle layer before proceeding to details and colors.

#8

Awesome reference ^^
Nice idea and visualization, though it doesn’t distinctively feel like a B movie. It could be A or B movie or even a game opening cutscene ^^

#9

Thanks Pegahoul, I’m trying a different approach to the traditional zombie poster =)

Hey Gerald,

Really interesting approach to the B-Movie theme. Cool color palette for the image. Good luck and waiting for more updates. Cheers!!

Lots of great detail work in this image so far, nice job! Art-wise, the Marlboro box seems a tad bright. My only other crit - and this is a big one! - is that you made the East Bay the center of the Zombie infestation. Hey, that’s my home!
j/k, nice work!
