Hi everyone;
I haven’t seen anyone working with one of the great B-tropes yet. I’m not sure where this will go for me… there’s the “Freak Show”, the “Circus from Hell” (no demon clowns though for me) maybe even a supernatural circus… sort of like Brigadoon. It’s gonna take a lot of stearing out the window to get this one finalized, but it’s a great challenge.

Here’s a rough storyboard for the trailer. I’ve blocked the basic set and outlined the shots. Next I’ll start on the various characters that will populate this place.

Unfortunately, I don’t currently have the hardware to deal with this project entirely in 3D so I’m planning to work it out as 2D and 2.5D in After Effects. I think this will be okay since a trailer is often just a series of quick shots… at least mine will be. It’ll be fun to comp in fire and strange critters.

I had planned on a video submission, but I won’t have time.

I’m planning to go back to the beginning of the Bs. The old Republic serials. corny and over the top.
