Hey Guys, so I think I have my concept… I thought of it myself… and only found a few similar things online.
Hover Man… I was picturing a business man from the fifties hovering past traffic with his briefcase.
Maybe a dark evil hover man… hmmm Hoverzilla.

Yes! GoodLuck all.

#3

Uh, super ruff copy and past… I want a good excuse to make a high elevation mountain scene  so this works well for me. And I love Bears. I will try to write that everytime I post lol.

#4

Snapshot of the mountain plateau. I am currently working on vegetation. I hope to improve Rock texture and water, transparency.

#5

Nice composition, You should make a little stephen colbert running away in the background since he is always talking about how he is afraid of bears.

#6

Thanks… some humor would help for sure. I will make nice bear pictures too.

#7

I did some basic work on the rocky terrain. I am working on ground cover including plants and trees.
I would like to improve my grass clumpyness and probably make it shorter.
I will be improving my water texture in the next few days and begin modeling my bear.

#8

Snap shot of some trees I was working on today.

#9

I am jumping between a few perspectives still. Some C&C would be great.
I am still deciding on grass texture, tree texture and layout. I am hoping to finish them tonight. My renders are at about an hour and 20mins for this size image, so, time to optimize and start using more layers in my workflow.
Current scene renders with at least 50 million polys… I could count but really?

Wow, looks nice! I can already feel a mood forming. Don’t have much to crit, wondering where you would place your bear in there though for composition reasons.

#11

Good point, uh oh, hahahaha JK I should use a place holder bear I made from the Journey Challenge.

#12

A few texture improvements. I will focus on the Bear now. Just so I don’t fall behind.
FYI, this is all One render, MR. I am trying to utilize a new techniques.

#13

That looks very scenic, I want to go camping there  Cept for the bears!

#14

Sure, $10 bucks. You can stay for as long as you like.

#15

Working on bear…
For dramatic reasons, I wanted a bigger mouth without making the teeth even larger, so I added an extra 2 in the top. I dont know if I like it.

#16

Title Idea…

THE WOODS

In the great jungles of North America, lives a monster that breads flying ticks off its back, the HOWLING BEAR.

oh so scary. no really, if bears could howl, I would shit.

#17

I should have stylized it… bear fur and hair wohs… I may be a while before I post any updates lol.

#18

First real Bear Fur Test…
obviously there is some work to be done

#19

Testing more Fur. I wonder how far I should go. I am thinking my scene may be dark with a glowing camping tent in the background, how much detail will I need?
I am enjoying the opportunity to get out of my comfort belt and try something new anyways.

#20

Another fur test, with minimal render settings
