I have always wanted to attempt one of these, and this one just appeared to be too much fun to pass up! Good luck all!

#4

The fridge model showing the general tone and feel that I want for all of the models that will make up the scene.

#5

Closeup of the crest on the fridge, based loosely from a 1950’2 era Frigidaire.

#6

The double oven range, another loose interpretation of a 50’s kitchen appliance. Trying to maintain the overall whimsical style.

#7

Closeup of top.

#8

Wow, I love the fridge the best. A great style. This is going to be good!

#9

Begun adding a mixture of textures and procedural materials to the models in an attempt to realize that iconic 1950’s look.

#10

Closeup of the range.

#11

The fridge.

#12

I have always wanted one of these tables, I guess this is as close as I will get.

#13

I think you’ve succeeded completely. These appliances are really sweet…until they turn on you!! Brawr!

#14

Quick render of the beginning production of the set. Rough model of metal period style cabinets.

#15

Still a long (very long) way to go with the scene itself. Just thought I would jump ahead a bit to begin laying out the poster.

#16

Still working on camera position within the poster layout. Much left to do.

#17

Wow, some cool modelling here. :applause:

Good luck with the challenge.

Thanks alot!

#19

very nice stylistic models. the large room render feels a little flat for colour though … the models look so awesome it’d be nice if the lighting and textures lifted them a bit more?

looking forward to seeing more progress

that kitchen is looking great!
I think that your second layout looks better, maybe you could even try a more forced perspective placing the camera closer to the floor? just an idea, I like how it’s looking…
