Latest Update: Work In Progress: Posing Model - Extra Details

Hello all!
I started work on this piece on the 22nd February, hoping to use it as a joint University Project, and entry to the B Movie contest. I had forgotten until this point to actually enter into the contest itself
I have, however, been recording my progress the whole way. As it is also a University Project, I have had to document the work in progress on my personal website:
http://www.uncanny.lucid-concepts.com/
I understand if this makes my work invalid for the competition, although I hope it will be ok. The work has not been published anywhere outside of my own website.
The next series of posts will document my progress so far, and my aims for what I want to get out of the work itself.
I didn’t like the direction the head section was going in so I restarted it, looking to find the form I had in my mind within the model as I made it.
First SSS test in Blender. At this point I decided to take what was first to be a purely Blender / ZBrush project and instead complete all rendering in Maya.
I wasn’t keen on the basic shape so I took the model into ZBrush and created a quick sculpt closer to my original idea.
Finally feel like I’m getting the hang of Maya’s SSS. At this point I decided to start posing the model for the way I wanted it in the final picture.
